June 16, 2010

Sleep more. Sleep more. Grow tall.

20 Gower View is surely a busy house. We had visitors again in the afternoon! This time it was Tita Lisa, Tito Ervi and their son Ebin, Jan Ervine to be exact. I have learned that the kid will stay for the evening. Mama Mary will take care of him. I was shocked, though, when Tita Lisa asked him, "Who do you want to sleep with, baby?" and then he answered, "Tita Jeanne." Oh, no. We will not fit in my bed. Good thing he didn't threw tantrums when I said he should sleep with Mama Mary.

Early in the morning, I went to babysit Lem. I brought my laptop with me and I uploaded some pictures and videos. This made me want to have my own internet connection at home. Note: the one where I can download and surf without worrying about how much pounds they will cost me.

I ended the day by privately celebrating for my first month of leaving Philippines.

June 15, 2010

Friends come. And they come. It's up to you if you let them go.

After two nights of staying here in Cardiff, taking pictures, surfing the net, watching films and all, it is now time to go back to Swansea. Today is all about commuting!

We took a bus, a train and another bus! :) We stopped in a Pakistani store to buy some vegetables and then to a Chinese restaurant to buy frozen fish. I even bought chopsticks. :)

I was too tired from the whole trip that I want to sleep the minute I reached my room but I was expecting some visitors so I have to endure a little bit. I was shocked when I heard the knocking on the door, though. I was thinking they will not be here until around four thirty but here they are, a little earlier than I expected. No harm done. At least we arrived earlier than them, or else, they would be knocking on an empty house.

Ciela brought along Masentle and Reji with her. At first, just like any other firsts, it was a bit awkward with Reji. It was my first time to see her today. Masentle was with us when we watched Streetdance so I'm a bit okay with her.

My first impression of Reji was: "Am I seeing a Korean?" She really looks like one, from the eyeliner, hair and even her way of dressing up (she reminded me of Eun Sung *Shining Inheritance*) and sometimes with the way she speaks too.

For a while we chatted in the living room, then mommy gave us access to the kitchen so we went and cooked noodles. Good thing I bought chopsticks earlier, they were on use now. They enjoyed the food, thankfully. We've found ourselves watching Super Junior's Intimate Note. We skipped the boring parts and they were laughing with the groups' gags. They even find HeeChul cute. :)

Good day, this is.

June 14, 2010

I'm not leaving the past behind. I'm just heading on to my future.

The day has come. We went to Cardiff town this morning for my appointment. I was still sleepy because I stayed up until 1am surfing the net and talking to Jane. I washed up fast, scared that we would be late.

To cut the long story short, I was approved. I had a good view of Cardiff town center, we went inside stores and checked some goods. I've fed my eyes with cute dresses and skirts, sunglasses and purses, sneakers and sandals, books and magazines, more, more, more, more. We even went to see Cardiff castle, not the inside, though. It's pretty pricey to enjoy.

Around 5pm, we went back home.

Jane and I went to Kim's place as soon as I had my rest. I enjoyed it there! We took pictures of ourselves, watched videos and shared some stories with each other. When 8.53pm struck, Jane and I were literally running down the road because we were late for Glee finale! Fortunately we missed just the first three minutes of the show. :)

June 13, 2010

Pictures may fade, but the memories they had will never change.

I woke up earlier than my alarm clock, again. After listening to some rock music (Oh My Friend and Taiyou No Namida) to alert my senses, I prepared my things and freshen up. We went to Cardiff today.

We took a bus then a train to Cardiff Central. From there, Tito Jess picked us up and he showed me some of the beautiful places in Cardiff. We took some pictures, of course! There were those with swans, with beach, with lamp posts. :)

The whole ride was good, and tiring as well.

Before I forget, this is my first time to ride a train here. It is so different with that one I was used to back in Manila, even not mentioning the scenery. I was able to use my laptop because it has portable table and there's also sockets for recharging! :) Imagine LRT like that.

*Thinking*

IMPOSSIBLE!

June 12, 2010

Filipinos are worth dying for.
-Ninoy Aquino

I have a party to attend this evening. But before I forget, today is my brother's birthday, too.

I just slept the most of the day, around 2pm, we had visitors, Tita Lisa, Tito Ervi and Ebin. They've brought chicken and fries. My craving for Jollibee was fed! HAHA.

Around 3.30, I prepared for the party: bath, stockings, hair, make-up, dress, shoes, pictures. At exactly 5.20, I was ready. Tita Mylene picked me up around 5.40. We're at the event at exactly 6.05pm. Ciela, JunJun and Kuya Andrew arrived later.

The party was a bit awkward, for me. There were speeches, performances, eating time, another bash of performances, the rock band (this is the best part, I think), and UWIAN TIME! I couldn't ask for more.

Kuya Andrew shared some of his liquor to me, which I think helped me have a sound sleep.

June 11, 2010

And those visitors will surprise you again.

Mommy and I went to High Streets early in the morning. We used our bikes again. We went to the butchers first and then we went to the library. I uploaded some pictures and borrowed a Math book. YES! A Math book. I think I should practice my Math skills now. I used to take that for granted when I was in UP. (Did I use "was?")

Kuya Julius send me a message in FB, saying they will come over the house to pick me up then we will go to a place. Mom and I went home after I uploaded the pictures. I just had my laptop and headset prepared for my RareJob classes when Kuya Andrew said (in FB) that Ciela and Kuya Julius were now heading to our house. Looks like no RareJob for me today.

I cancelled my classes and prepared for our picnic.

Kuya Julius and Ciela arrived earlier than I expected. Kuya Julius didn't text me so I was in a rush! After few minutes, we were making our way to the "place." We trekked through woods, some damp soil some grasses and VIOLA. What a good view! I was fascinated by that place. It was like a sanctuary of lost souls, finding their place here. Did I sound creepy? IDC. I felt that way.

We walked around the place, with Kuya Julius cracking some jokes again. He showed us a video of Niga Higa, which made me and Ciela laughing so loud! After some more wandering, we picked our place, laid the blanket and had our picnic. We had a cake, three pieces of banana and a bar of chocolate (we didn't eat the chocolate, though).

I brought the cards with me so we played. It was Pekwa this time. As usual, Kuya Julius lost the game! HAHA.

Around 4pm, we went back home. Kuya Julius took a picture of a Bumblebee on a flower. It was so cute. :)

June 10, 2010

Unexpected visitors will always come and surprise you.

Nothing new. This is how I will describe my day. There is one thing though, that made it somehow worth remembering: I had visitors! Ciela, JunJun and Kuya Julius went over this afternoon (or is it evening?). They've brought cakes and Haribo candies.

There's nothing much to do, so we used the Magic Sing again, me and Ciela singing some songs, JunJun eating the Haribo and Kuya Julius doing some gags because he really don't want to sing.

We played cards so that we'll have more ... uhm, interaction. :) Mama Mary sang for us. We played "Unggoy-Ungguyan" (or whatever it is called) and 1, 2, 3, PASS! Whatever game we play, though, Kuya Julius was the one who's in the losing side. At the end of the game, Kuya Julius got powder all over his face and black shirt, with the remaining three of us laughing our hearts out because of his jokes and non-ending rants about the cards being jinxed.

They went home around 9pm, with a plan to go out again tomorrow. :) Mommy, Mama Mary and I sang some more before we went to bed.

June 8, 2010

Dress up to impress yourself, not to show off and impress others.

I forgot to mention my craziness yesterday. Remember we bought dresses (for the event on June 12) and some other stuff. In the afternoon, I tried them on and I was pleased with myself. I asked Mommy to take pictures of me here and there. Mommy was just laughing and my photographer was the one asking me to stop posing! :)

So today, I went to the kid's house again. After an hour, I went home and then we, Mommy and I, went to High Street again. We bought a belt, then checked some stores for other stuff. We had bikes so the trip was just a short one.

I had three students at RareJob today. Yey for me! That was the first time I ever had three students consecutively!

Mommy cooked some soup while I was having the lessons and she brought some in the room. It was delicious! After my appointments, I had two more helpings of the dish. :)

June 7, 2010

A child will always be a child.

I woke up early today. I had a kid to take care of. She's quiet, at first, but then while I was bathing her, she started to talk about random things, the cartoon, the honey loops, her uniform and more more more more.

Her mommy arrived after I bathed her. I was the one to put her essentials: lotion, body spray, body oil, foot spray; and her mom took care of the necktie and her hair. When it's 8am, we were heading to Julian's, a store and the place where her school bus stops to pick her up. We've waited there for about 10minutes and VIOLA. School bus is here.

I went home after that. Though I'm so sleepy, there's no room for sleep for today's schedule. We went to High Street, bought some ketchups, gown, a Harry Potter toy, some tops and our usual top-up for the internet donggle (not sure with the spelling). Mommy and Tito went home first. I went to the library to download songs and videos. FINALLY I had my copy of SS501's Love Ya. :)

After two hours of surfing, it's time to go home. I was near, take note: 2 blocks away, from our house when I realized I forgot my USB in the Library! Deym! So I hurriedly went home and borrowed Mommy's bike. I went back as fast as I can to the Library. I was so nervous. Not because of the USB but because I'm not really a good bicycle driver. While driving, there are lots of horrible things popping in my mind. WHAT IF?

But that what if's did not happen. I'm still here. :)

June 2, 2010

Loyalty. Love. Passion.

I spent another day outside the house. I said YES to Ciela's invitation so today, we went to Swansea town and had our share of fun.

First, I went to the library at 10am. I uploaded some pictures and tagged some people. When it was 11am, Kuya Julius called me, informing me that he was already at the bus stop. So I went out and then we waited for Ciela and Jun Jun. We will be meeting Kuya Andrew at Swansea later in the afternoon.

We visited some shops, trying on caps and looking at graphic tees, meeting some of their friends and chatting altogether. Josh and Palesa joined us, too. They're Ciela's friends in college. Kuya Andrew met us at the cinema. We bought the tickets first and then we went to China China to fill up our starving stomachs.

It is an eat-all-you-can restaurant, with different kinds of food. I can proudly say that I was full, especially with that last three scoops of chocolate ice cream. :)

Kuya Andrew went home first, because of some ... let's say ... an unevitable circumstance. :) We went to the movie house around 4.10pm. We watched Streetdance 3D. I was never really fond of watching 3D movies. My eyes hurt after the film, but, as what Palesa said, it was worth it. I love the flick. It made me wanna dance again ... with You-Know-Who.

Josh went home first. We went to Tesco to buy a cake for Mama Mary because it is her birthday today. I ended up buying a loaf of bread, two clubhouse sandwiches for Mommy and Tito, and a card for Mamy Mary.

My vanity evaded me today. I didn't have some Kodak moments, as I usually have back home. We managed to have some pictures, though ... less than 10 shots. Well, better than nothing.

Jun Jun and Ciela walked me home. I was so touched. It made me think of Boojie, the times when he accompany me to my dorm after our mall-hoppings. :)

They stayed a while. I gave them drinks and rice pudding. I'm not really a good host(ess) so I don't know what to do. We used the Magic Sing and sang a bit, with Jun Jun insisting that we all sing the same song, then we'll see who's gonna have the highest score.

Before they went home, they tried tuning my guitar. But unfortunately, my guitar is a bit stubborn. I still don't have a name for that fellow, so maybe we'll attempt tuning it again when it's already baptized.

So tired that I am, I was fast asleep upon lying on my bed.

June 1, 2010

Time flies so fast, so make sure you can make your happy moments last.

It was raining today. Ironically, we went to the beach! Thank you very much, sun, for not supporting our outing. I woke up early, 5.30am, because I had an appointment --- I was a babysitter for an hour! :) I got my things for the swimming ready: the book and some food. I was not planning to swim, anyway. Mommy walked me to the house of Tita Mylene, where Lemuelle, the kid, is waiting for me. I enjoyed watching over her. Not that we had a bonding time but because I had free internet use! :)) She's a nice chap, just watching her favorite cartoon and I was there, sitting in front of the laptop, watching Super Junior's Bonamana and SS501's Love Ya. :)

After an hour, Mommy was there, with Tito Jess. And another couple of hours, were already at Tenby! Mommy's a girl scout. She brought me a set of clothes. :D

I met some friends, too! Kurt, Raymond, Pat and Kim. Jane and Jay (Tito Jess' kids) were also with us. We had so much fun, soaking ourselves in the cold beach water. Kurt brought his guitar so we had some singing, too. I had a great time with Kim, her being so friendly and all.

We've (Kim and me) played badminton with Ray and Pat. The stubborn wind made us lose the game.

It was not much tiring, but climbing 126 steps to reach the parking space when we set back home really made me breathless. I miss FPF classes!

I was about to sleep as soon as we reached 20 Gower View but then I remembered there's Smallville at 9, so I stayed up until 10.30. :)

May 31, 2010

When there is nothing you can say, just say whatever things you have in mind. Never mind how silly they are.

I had two students in RareJob today. And I am so happy with that improvement! HAHA. Let me share about these students. The first one is very energetic. He's got so many topics in mind but I am so glad that he was more interested in Psychology! :) I was relieved to hear that! We were just talking about Freud and Carl Jung until the last five minutes of the session. I was having some mental lapses about the subject, though. And with that, I was ashamed with myself. How could I forget Freud's theory? FREUD's, for Pete's sake! HAHA. Good thing he knows much about the topic so he just went on talking, I was just commenting on his ideas, like: "The old wise man may be a representative of God, for Jung." Oh, God, because of him, I thought of going back to the University of the Philippines and ask my professors about those theorists!

My next student is a bit of shy-type. I don't know how to describe her, really. I had a difficult time raising questions because whenever I ask one, she'll just answer briefly, and I will end up rummaging my mind for another topic, or else, I'll be doomed!

Anyhow, the lessons went well.

May 30, 2010

Life is not just about making friends, but making them last.

Today is Sunday, a normal sunday for me, except that we went to a gathering when afternoon came.

It's chilly outside so i brought my jacket with me, my forever handy brown jacket. I didn't use it, though. Mommy said it will be a lot warmer inside the house, so I left it in the car. I regretted leaving my jacket!

I was first introduced to Kuya Andrew, then to Mommy's other friends, then to Kuya Julius, then to Ciela, then to Kuya JunJun. It was awkward at first, the "shy-type" Jeanne is there, always. I'm not really good at first time meetings.

Before we went home, Ciela invited me on a (let's call it) date this coming Wednesday. And I said I will think about it. :)
