July 12, 2010

Everyone gets older. No one can escape that.

Though this is the big day for me, I still have to do some "duty." I went to Lem's house to do the babysitting early in the morning. It was chilly so I wore my red jacket, joking inside that I have to wear red because it is my day. When I arrived, her father told me she can't go to school because she has fever. So I just stayed in her room and watched her as I download videos. :)

I can say that this was a long day. From 5.30 in the morning til 11.00pm, I was on the go. We had visitors since 10am, we decorated the living room, cooked some foods, had the balloons inflated, went to Tesco to buy ribbons (and cork board), went to Lem's again to get the food her mom prepared, the likes.

People started coming around 4pm. I got my wardrobe scanned by Yzh, Tita Amy's daughter and she helped me pick what clothes to wear. It was cute. I have to endure the pain caused by heels, though.

We just had fun, literally. I was with people, talking here, saying thank you there, singing this, eating that, taking pictures in a second, then greeting a new guest next ... BUSY! I just can't describe how happy I was today. I was happy not because I'm getting older, I'm happy because these people made effort to celebrate with me. This birthday seems to be the biggest one for me. It's just that everything's new: friends, food, experience. And I got lots of greetings in FB as well. Three of my crushes put some effort in greeting me, what else could I ask for, right?

Gifts were the last thing on my mind, mind you. When I opened them, I was like: Geez! I never thought of having this one, and that one, and this one too! I had Team Jacob bag from Ciela and it was the "outstanding" gift, I can say. I've got perfumes, make-up kits, clothes, photo holder, keychain, bracelet, chocolates and money, note: POUNDS. :))

I've got loads of cards, too.

To end the day, I took my "kulambo" downstairs and I slept with mommy in the living room. We have sleep over friends so we decided that today is a "family day."
