When it's raining and you don't have an umbrella, be cool. Let yourself be soaked with rain water. It's from Heaven, anyways.
I skipped rarejob and going to church with the Baldemors today in turn of joining Mommy to Llanelli for "shopping." Tita Mylene went to fetch us around 12.30. The weather was not that good, it was raining.
First we went to a Filipino shop. I thought we were going to a big supermarket, like Tesco or Asda, but my hopes dropped when I noticed we were heading in a residential-type area. The place was good, though. It reminded me of 7-11 near the dormitory back in Manila, small but mostly all of your needs are there. Of course, most of their goods were Filipino delicacies: buko juice, boy bawang, pancit canton, among others.
While Tita My and Mommy were busy picking stuff they like, I was playing with Lem, Tita My's daughter (she's the one I babysit, too!). She was energetic today. We were walking hand-in-hand, sometimes I carry her, sometimes she tickles me, and sometimes she just blurts out: Ate, I love you! Sweet.
Next stop was at Tesco. Along the way, I was teaching Lem how to play "Penpendesarapen" game. Bad luck for me, she finds it BORING. At Tesco, I pushed the cart for mommy as she filled it with stuff. I noticed she really likes shopping and sure, I'm happy pushing carts for her if not for those people bumping me. Tesco was packed! Though it's raining, these UK people didn't miss their chance to drop by!
Finally we were done shopping. I grabbed some leaflets of easy cook recipes, hoping I can use them someday. I was so tired from the shopping so in our way home, though Lem was asking for a game, I just said I was sleepy and closed my eyes. Thankfully the ride was quick and I was able to take a rest.
Sunday does not end that way, though.
As the clock turned 6, Ciela called me, asking if I was busy. I was reading John Grisham's The Client then, so I said I was not. They were knocking on our door ten minutes after that call. Next thing I know, I was riding a bike, heading to their house. There were four of us, all pedalling our way to Penlan road. That was a tiring ride, mind you! I hate that high slope before the last bend to their house! I never noticed it was that high when we were walking! Riding a bike has its advantage, of course. We reached their house with just the span of roughly 10minutes, compared to that 30minutes when we walk.
They've prepared a movie for us to watch. It was called "Coming Soon." Ciela and I were having our share of screams and Kuya Julius was hiding himself with a pillow, more scared than Ciela and I were, JunJun was the calmest of us four. Kuya Andrew came in just in time to see the credits. He missed all the fun.
By the way, I earned a scratch in my left arm, for an unknown reason. It's not a big deal, but it hurts big time! That was my first cut in UK. haha. Very historical.
We were on our bikes again, going back to 20 Gower View around 10.00pm. They stayed for a while, and that's how my Sunday ended.
