Exploration Day, August 3

I'm way too sleepy now but I know I can't sleep without posting this blog. :) So, here we go.

Another office day for me, few files encoded, few calls answered and delicious sandwich and chips for lunch. I had a great time at the office and as I usually do, I planned to go home when the clock strikes at 3. But, I had an unexpected visitor in the office and the plan just vanished.

Julius caught my attention around 2.30pm. He was l
ooking at the door, straight to where I was sitting. I was like, "Kuya
Juls?" and based from his reaction he was thinking the same: "Jeanne?" He went inside then I gave him his merienda while he talked to Aunt Nicole. Then out of nowhere, I asked Ciela's home number, called her and we set a trio-date.

Good thing I have Mommy's bike with me. Kuya Juls took his bike, and then we went to Ciela's. After some rest, we decided to hit the road and for the record, t'was the longest cycling activity I've ever done. It was tiring, yes, but the place where we went has scenery so beautiful, you will not mind the cramps. As Kuya Juls put it, we were like some crazy foreigners admiring the tiniest bit of the place. Even Ciela loved the goats! I like the wild plants, Kuya Juls admired the vast field filled with wild grasses and pollens. Looking at that kind of view, you will think that UK is indeed a big country where in fact, it is just as big as the Philippines.

Latter ride was faster than the first. We took the same route, but for some reasons, it's just faster going back. And this time, Ciela and I enjoyed the cool breeze. Upon reaching our house, we prepared food, ate and set the computer. We watched Princess and the Frog, well, me and Ciela.

She went home after the movie, with a plan of going back tomorrow and we will be camping. :)

There we are! Me on the left side of the picture and Ciela on the right. On the first picture is the beautiful pinkish-violet flowers of the wild.

Confirmation from work, August 2

Howdy!

Productivity is at its peak for me today. I know I am so eager to look for work, so excited to do the work and way too ambitious in the nature of work I want to do. This day, however, I was filled with emotions as I open the envelope with my name on it, indicating that it came from the company I applied for.

Well, before that, I went to Aunt Nicole's place for my Monday attendance at their office. I didn't do much, we mainly discussed my Curriculum Vitae. I told Aunt Nicole I was planning to apply for some work while waiting for the confirmation letter and stuff (turned out I don't need to wait anymore). Uncle Colin was a great help for me. He edited my CV, advised some and reminded me to enjoy, not just to work.

I answered some telephone calls and made tea for Uncle Colin before I left at 3pm. If only I could put into words the happiness I felt. I am so grateful that I am working in that place. Though I have no salary, I gain experience. Besides that, I have free yummy lunch from Aunt Nicole, so why would I ask for salary?

So, back to the confirmation notes.

I filled out the application form for the CRB, I signed the papers needed to be signed, I double-checked the information and I put them into an envelope. I'll just have to wait for my schedule. Oh, I'm so excited. :D

Before Mommy went to work, she went into my room spent some bonding time with me. She was teasing me about my roo
m, which was a mess, and she was like, "I think you need a cleaner now." She looked at my corkboard and teased me again when she saw this:

List of what I want to buy:
1. Converse
2. Body bags
3. Gifts

She said I can buy those things for sure, with the work I'll be getting. Then we decided to write my Christmas list. And I made a
surprisingly LOOOOONG one. I'm wondering if I can really buy gifts for those people. :)

This is the proof of my confirmation. YEHEY!
I wonder when I'll start working?

Start of August, Movie day!

Hello there! It's August now and I just had a good start for the month. I attended a service this morning, the usual stuff I do every Sundays with my friends' family, meeting new people, listening to the preaching, discussing, having a coffee, the stuff. But today's service was a bit different from the previous ones. For the record, it was a different pastor and we had a free lunch. You see, it is Taste and See Festival Week and for today, we had the International Buffet ... thing. There's Mexican, Indian and Italian food, with cakes and pastries and drinks all over the place. I was so full when we left the place.

What made it more different is that I really had fun today. I didn't feel sleepy with the preaching (which I usually was in the past ones), I met a new presider, I
met new people and I ate new food. After the whole church thing, we went to Baldemor's place. Julius left earlier before us, so he wasn't able to watch ToyStory3 and Karate Kid with us.

The movies were so great! I almost cried with ToyStory and I was so into the Karate Kid. Jaden Smith was so cool and so cute, too! Jackie Chan looked rather old in the movie, but still, he's a good actor. While we were watching the movies, by the way, we were eating Kitkats and watermelons and some other stuff as well. Too full for the day, huh?

On the down side, I was busy watching the movies that I didn't notice the time. When I got
home, Mommy already left for work. I'll see her tomorrow. Good night everyone!

I got this picture yesterday. I am the one with blue face paint. Ciela (the one on the right) did it. Great stuff! :)
