Morning kiss from Mommy is the best!

She didn't mean it, but she pulled me out of the dream I'm having. She didn't intend to but she woke me up from my 10-hour sleep. And I do not complain about that. As a matter of fact, I liked it. That's what I'm missing these years - TLC from my mom. :D

There's nothing new in my day, except that I ate much at lunch. I never had the appetite to eat since I got here, maybe that's because of homesickness. But when the smell of dried fish reached my nose ... GAHD! Let's EAT!

I've had my daily dose of net surfing, posting blogs, reading Dracomione fanfics, chatting with some friends and I'm still deprived of my KPOP addiction.

Around 5.30pm, I had a little concert in the living room because Mommy turned on the Magic Sing and pushed me to sing a song for her. I sang and I sang, until it's 9pm and they have to go to work. Mama Mary and I were the ones left to clean up the place and so we did. :)

Before i totally doze off, I've read RBR's messages again. After reading, I realized how lucky I am to have friends like them.

And how lucky they are to have me! :D

Just self-praising! :))

I went to the post office and I thought, "What if I mail myself back to the Philippines?"

Such crazy thought, but what if that can be done? HAHA. I think I'm in Batangas now, sitting on our terrace and wondering when will I see my crush again. :P

Today, I had a student at RareJob! Congratulations to me! :D I have no other things to tell you, guys. Life here is somewhat routinary:

My waking hour here is 8am-ish, another clap for me guys! Back in the Philippines, I'm always up at 6. Then I will have breakfast with the family, do some cleaning, some chatting and wait until 11am.

It's watching time! Privileged and Smallville were on queue. I didn't see Aaron Ashmore this day but I had enough dose of Tom Welling, so I think that's not bad at all.

Then from 1pm-5.30ish ... SURFING TIME! I consider myself lucky if i have one student a day on RareJob. Come to think of it, I'm always lucky stay until 5pm because there is someone I'm waiting on line.

Starting 6pm, I'll watch the telly again for Friends and Scrubs. :D

This is what my day's all about. Nothing exciting, nothing adventurous, only ... routinary.

Did I mention that VirginMedia people went here today? Supposedly, I will be enjoying unlimited access on the internet, but NO! They have to do some drillings and we have to ask for the owner of the house, who, unfortunately said NO.

So, I'm still stuck with this routine.

Riding a bicycle is tenfold better than riding a smoke-belching car.

Mom and I went to High Streets so I could get my visa pictures done, have two copies of "work papers", and visit some of her friends in town. And how did we get there? We had a fun bicycle ride! :D

It's been a long time since I last rode a bicycle, maybe years. Although I was nervous at first, but Mom guided me and I was able to control the cute blue bike the whole ride, and I enjoyed it.

The whole ride made me tired and my hands numb because though the sun is shining bright, the cold wind still bites. I can feel my body thaw when I went inside my room.

It's cold today. I wore jacket, plus pajamas and socks with my that cute pink fur slippers. I had some trouble about the socks, though. How could I use my kulambo (mosquito net) if I have socks on my feet? So I ended up numbing my feet as the rain started to pour outside and I fell asleep.

Time doesn't measure how special you can be to someone.

Again, I woke up late today. I spent most of the morning cooking porridge and having some chit-chats with my mom. I watched Privileged and Smallville. I had RareJob again in the afternoon, but unfortunately I don't have any students which gave me a good excuse to have a little chat with Lyka, Jana, Kuya Iji, Adjian, Kuya Earvin, Princess, King and Justin.

Mama Mary went to town today and I was supposed to be with her, but remember, I woke up late. HAHA. so she gave me something. Something that I would never forget because I know she's having problems about this aspect of life, but yeah, she still gave me some. So touching. :)

Oh, I am now loving Friends and Scrubs! HAHA. I think I will now have a good schedule with E4 everyday. :D I miss Pinoy series, though. You know, that kind of magic and drama, not this kind of sexy-comedy-kissing-s*x flicks. :D

And yeah, why did Robert Pattinson had the Best Performance of the Year because of Twilight, New Moon? GAHD! I think Jacob is better! HOHO. They also got the MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE OF SUMMER for Eclipse. The award was received by Peter Facinelli (Okay, Carlisle).

Harry Potter got the SPECIAL RECOGNITION. Oh, GAHR, again! This series will end soon! It hurts! I have watched the trailer. :D

And who wants to watch Knight and Day? God, Tom Cruise is so so HOT! :))

Another day in the house.

I missed Smallville episode this day because I have my RareJob to attend to. I only had one student. Tsk, lucky me.

I had carrots for snacks and we ate dinner early because they (Mom and Tito) have to take a slumber even for a couple of hours more before going to work.

The best, or rather, worst part of this day is when my usual stomach-ache haunted me. I went to Mommy's room and whined, "Mama ... mama ... masakit tiyan ko." (My stomach hurts)

But she's still asleep. She mumbled about putting some oils, though. I tried that but to no good. I still feel bad. Really bad. I miss my grandmother when I have this moment in life. She's always there for me, ready to make a sambong drink. HAHA.

I curled up like a kitten on my bed because I really can't handle it anymore. Finally, Mom woke up and offered to make me a cup of nice cocoa. But, that nice cup didn't help. Out of nowhere, I went to the toilet and there. I puked.

And it all got better.

Oooppps! I think that bowl of noodles after that whole toilet thing helped.

For the first time, I went out on my own.

This morning, because of my movie marathon (again, thanks to Fiver), I woke up late. Mom arrived already from work and she had her breakfast.

I went to the Post Office to drop my letter for RBR. With that letter comes my ID. :( I don't really want to give up my ID, but because I HAVE TO, I HAVE NO CHOICE! :(

I tried to make the most out of this little journey I had. I went to the park, only to find no seats for me, so I decided to go home. I took the other route, by the way. So I think you can say I did a little exercise. If only I didn't forget my Library Card, it could have been better.

May 23, 2010

I'm starting to miss home. REALLY.

Today, I cooked sinigang (tamarind soup, whatever they call it overseas). It was not really hard work to do, and I finished fast.

After having lunch with Mama Mary, I scanned the booklet Jane, Tito Ren's niece, gave me. It is a booklet of Swansea University. I read the requirement for the Psychology course, the modules, the extra subjects ... until I saw the passing of applications. It said, "You can submit your applications on January 2011 for October 2011 classes."

WTF?! 2011?! I was really really downcast after realizing that I still have to wait for a year, and add 5 months to that, before I start schooling. If I want to go to that University, that is.

The point is, studying in my third level will be longer than what I am expecting! I was planning to graduate on 2012, for God's sake! Then this whole UK-thingy came up and I have to sacrifice!

Because of that I was not in the mood to go on jogging so Mama Mary went alone.

Mom went to work at 9pm and I was left alone with the movies, thanks to Jackie Chan's The Medallion, Jet Li's Cradle 2 and American Pie: The Naked Mile, I was able to forget that dilemma of mine for a moment.

I miss University of the Philippines!

May 22, 2010

Surprises still lurk in every place here. And they never fail to surprise me.

We went to a car booth today. I was wondering what that place look like, with that name. At last, when we arrived there, there's no doubt about the name. It is like a "tiangge" back in the Philippines, only the stalls here were trunks of the vendor's cars. See, car(trunk)booth.

I got myself Eldest and Deception Point (50p each), a guitar (15L), a blouse (50p), a money bank (50p), a bag (50p), a pair of cute sandals (1L). Mommy bought some cups and some other things that's needed in the house.

Oh, before I forget, there's lots of carbooth stations (i don't know if there's a proper term for that) and this one is on Cardiff. We went there with Tita Wena and her cute son, JC. I wonder when will JC talk to me? Haha. He's a real cutesy, but he still doesn't like--okay, that's a bit harsh--know me. He's five years old and he got himself a toy guitar. He smiled at me on our way back home and I think that's an improvement. Haha.

Afternoon went by rather fast, for I was not aware that it's already 7pm when Mama Mary (our housemate) knocked on my door and asked if I want to jog. Mind you, people. 7pm here is equivalent to 3pm's brightness there in the Philippines. We had our jogging around 8pm, and i was really excited because for the first time, I went out wearing shorts and sando. We just had a short run and did some walk along the park. On our way home, Mommy and Tito Ren were on their bikes and were heading for work. I kissed Mom and then I head back home with Mama Mary.

I was so tired that I didn't had the chance to check my homepages. (Okay, FB, Multiply, Plurk, Blogger, Twitter) There's nothing much to see, anyway.

I slept at Mommy's room. :)

May 21, 2010

It's warm here today. Everyone is showing off their skin so that they'll have a touch of the sun on them. Of course, even way back in the Philippines, I don't do that, so I went out with my RBR shirt.

Mom and I went to Swansea town and had a leisurely walk along its busy streets and under the sunny sky. What I like here in Swansea is that even though the sun is up there, casting its warm rays on every creature possible, the damp air never fails to make me feel cool. Unlike in the Philippines where the air makes my body sticky.

It was really different here, just take the bus stops for an instance. Well, I'm very satisfied with the discipline drivers have here. I can't help but compare them to the drivers in the Padre Faura (Ermita, Manila, Philippines)! There's no need to explain why. :)

Anyway, today is also my first time to top-up (LOAD) my 3mobile sim and that stupid vodaphone broadband. Why stupid, you ask. Because all I can do with that internet connection is to check my facebook, a little chat ... and that's it. BORING. Even loading up your sim card here is totally different. There's no autoload retailers, you have to buy vouchers (equivalent to cards but here, they are in receipts) or you have to pay in credit card. Oh, I really miss Philippines!

There's lots of stores here, too. and there are more stuff to choose from. i can't help but to think that those shoes i saw on a stall exactly looks like the one I saw in Divisoria the last time I bought my boots. Mom reckons those shoes came from Divisoria, too, and I would rather agree than to say otherwise.

Before we went to the bus stop going back home, I bought burger and fries at BurgerKing. Actually, i never had the chance to buy a Whooper back in the Philippines, so I tried it here and got myself so so so full.
